The size of the tool is illustrated by a circle or ellipse. Fine retouching work on details or object edges can thus be carried out much more precisely.
Please beware that the effect of a tool with a low sharpness setting will be very weak at the edges, and the tool's effect might therefore be smaller than indicated.
