Painting with patterns

At first sight the module apparently can't draw with patterns, however this effect is easily within reach if the Softprint tool is used.

Start with a sufficiently large raster area which contains the required pattern next to the picture being worked on. Set the origin for the copy pencil in the middle of this raster area.

Upper left: target image

Right bottom: source (raster area with pattern)

In the additional settings for the Softprint tool set: "Use redraw buffer" and "Work with fixed target position".

Once the destination has been set, you can Paint with the raster fill in the picture after a short delay.

Note: Since the Softprint tool uses the printer output, settings made there for fill patterns also have an effect. It can happen therefore that the pattern changes its size. Should the pattern size not be correct even though the setting x R is active, correct the settings in the printer dialog box.
