Select Tiffie in the Import dialog (take care that really just
Tiffie is selected) and click on Import
. In the file selector
dialog that appears you can now choose the TIFF file that you want to
import. If you confirm your choice, the selected file will be opened
and imported into the (previously selected) raster graphics frame.
While reading in larger files the following dialog appears to show the status of the import process:
The bar permits an estimation of the remaining processing time. In addition Tiffie provides information here about the image format and any compression method that may have been used. You can break off the import process with the usual [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Shift] key combination.
