Is a version for Windows without an emulator planned? If not, why not (as was the case for the Calamus95 version?
There was an almost completed development of Calamus95 as a native
Windows version, the so-called Calamus Digital Publisher v2
, in
short CP2. For reasons that we do not know in detail, MGI, who own the
rights to Calamus, stopped development of this CP2 at the end of 1998
shortly before completion, and did not market it. Since then our
efforts have produced Calamus SL also as a WindowsPack, which can only
be a compromise, of course. For speed reasons we therefore actually
prefer Calamus running on Apple computers, even though judging by
sales the Windows market is currently equally interesting.
