You can create new path points with this function. Select this
icon, and the cursor changes to a hammer. A left click will then
create a new path point. Depending on which of the two icons Create
Line
or Create Bézier
are selected, the last point on the
path is connected with the hammered
point by either a line or a
Bézier curve.
Please note that Bézier curves can initially appear as lines,
because both of the control points lie exactly on the line between the
old and the new path points. The small crosses marking the control
points will be visible. These can be selected with the Select /
Move Points
function to develop the Bézier curve as required.
If this icon is selected, the current path continues to be
extended until the right mouse button is pressed. Having completed
that path, a click on the left mouse button will create a new path, or
a click on the right mouse button will activate the Select / Move
Points
function.
Tip: While in this Set Points
mode, a right click
while pressing the left [SHIFT]-key will toggle between the Create
Line
and Create Bézier
modes.
Additionally, while in this Set Points
mode, the
UNDO
icon can be left clicked to remove the last path point.
Subsequent left clicks on the UNDO
icon will sequentially
remove all path points except the start point.
