This tool differs fundamentally from the ones described so far. It doesn't change the picture contents in any way, and serves only to analyze the colour values of the picture.
Pressing the left mouse button displays the colour value used in the specified area of the picture in the Calamus coordinates display, using the same colour system as the one defined for the picture.
For the Densitometer, like the other tools, you can set some basic parameters. You can determine how exactly the colour value is ascertained, for example with a strong weighting towards the centre and less to the edge (sharpness 0), or averaged over the whole area (maximum sharpness).
Note: The Densitometer tool only has adjustments for size and sharpness in the tool settings dialog box.
