When loading the settings, the module asks whether the settings are to be merged with or replace the current settings. The settings in the fourth command group are always replaced by those of the new file. The active tool becomes that set in the new file.
If the settings are merged, then the new parameter lists are appended to the present ones. The sequence can be subsequently changed.
