Popup menus facilitate a fast choice from different alternatives. They are used for both tool selection and the selection of parameters for the individual tools.
Operation is very easy: After the menu is popped open by a mouse
click, a number of choices are presented. Selecting one confirms the
choice and you can carry on working. If you'd like to leave the
settings unchanged, press Undo
or the right mouse button. The
menu is exited without making any changes.
A double-click on an entry both selects it and calls the relevant adjustment dialog.
It's advisable to program these popup menus onto function keys so that you can always have the menus conveniently to hand (or mouse) at the current working position, because with a suitable setting in Calamus the menus will always appear at the mouse position.
