Colouring single objects

With the Paint module and the Softprint tool it is very easy to interactively copy changed picture data into given areas only. Colour-changed, filtered or in any other way altered pictures can all be so treated. As an example, we'll show you how a (mostly) black-and-white picture can be produced from a colour picture with only one coloured object: in this case the car.

First create a physical copy of the original colour picture, which you change with the "Convert frame" function into a greyscale picture. Now convert the greyscale picture back to a colour one. We now have both a colour and a greyscale picture on the same page.

Next set the source inside the colour picture and the destination in the greyscale picture at the same position. The position can be accurately set also by noting the copy distance and then work with great precision with "Confirm source position".

Choose the tool size indicating cursor option to allow precise working and run the Softprint tool over the object to be coloured (the car).
