As an example of the application of the new picture processing functions in Calamus we will show you how this image was generated with the modules Paint, Merge and Filter.
A picture of a desert scene served as a model. The sky was generated by a raytracing program, and merged into the background with the Merge module. The letters were provided with a texture with the Merge module after they were mirrored and sized to fit in the layout function.
The copy mask for copying the letters into the picture resulted from softening the characters with the Filter module.
After the letters had been copied into the picture (Merge module), retouching of individual items (shadows, drifts) was carried out with the Paint module.
