This icon allows you to drag out
a new object frame, i.e.
to create new objects rather than select existing ones. As already
mentioned, every object consists of one or more paths, which share the
same colour, fill pattern, border type and border colour.
This function works the same as Create frame
mode in the
Frame editing module. Select this icon and drag out a frame in the
layout window to create a new object. The nature of the object depends
on which object type is active in the Objects function group (see
below). You can switch between Create
and the Select
function described next by clicking the right mouse button.
