From the TIFFSOFT.INF file the driver knows about TIFF format support restrictions of other applications. Unfortunately, not every application supports all possible formats. When you choose an application here because you want the TIFF files to be proceeded in this application later, the offered parameters for compression and image type may be partly disabled: Only those settings are available then which are supported by the chosen software. If the current setting is no longer available after switching, you can neither quit the dialog with [OK] nor save the settings. Please reswitch and adjust your settings then.
You might want to edit and enhance the TIFFSOFT.INF file yourself by adding descriptions for further programs. The file is ASCII readable and describes possible enhancements in itself.
