This function converts the image to an nplex
image and you
are offered a choice whether this should become a colourizable
greyscale image, or a duplex, triplex or quadruplex image (i.e.
consisting of only 2, 3 or 4 colours respectively).
Usually one uses this image type to create special effects with
spot colours. So for instance you can colourize a greyscale image of
your firm's building with the house
colour and with it achieve
a special effect on your firm's stationery. Nplex images may be
defined from up to four freely chosen colours, whose gradation can be
changed via individual control curves to achieve special mixing
effects.
