This icon and the next toggle each other to set whether new lines or Bézier curves are created. Thus only one can be selected. If this icon is selected, lines will be added to the path.
Tip: In the Set Points
mode, a right-click while
pressing the left [SHIFT] key will toggle between creating lines and
Bézier curves.
