Using this dialogue, you can adjust the parameters of the path editor.
If this option is selected, then, if you shift a control point of a Bézier curve, the control point of the adjacent curve is also moved so that the roundness between these two curves is maintained.
Select this option to have an arrow placed near the the point of origin of the path to show the path direction. This allows you to recognise things such as the order in which lines are deleted when individual points are deleted.
Sometimes it can be distracting when working on a vector path, to be able to simultaneously see the document background. If you switch this option on, only the vector objects which can be worked on are shown, while all other elements of the document are faded out. (Naturally they are still present.)
Here you can change the presentation colour of all path elements in the path editor. The colours are adjusted to the closest colours of your system colour palette.
A special representation of paths is invoked if you set the line colour as white. If this setting is selected, then the paths are mainly shown in black, but black points can be replaced by white points, depending on the background. Thus paths which are shown in black will remain visible (white) on black object surfaces.

The path editing mode offers many mouse and key combinations which facilitate its use. So that you do not need to remember everything, you can call an overview of these combinations by clicking this button.
