This menu item saves the current document to floppy or hard disk using the name with which it was loaded or last saved. If you have just created a new document, the file selector willl appear where you have to specify the filename and possibly the path where it should be saved.
If you have used the Miscellaneous settings
dialog box (see
Options menu) to instruct Calamus to keep backup copies of your files,
the extender of the previous version of the file will be changed to
BAK
. This allows you to have a copy of the previous version of
the document on disk, in case you make a mistake with the newer one.
