This function has a double action: It both closes and rounds the path.
Closed paths are paths wherein the start and finish points are placed accurately at the same location. Paths which contain Bézier curves are rounded off. This means that the control points of the curves are shifted automatically in such a way that continuous curves are generated through the path points.
The operation of the function is not difficult: Click on the icon
and then on any point of the path. The complete path, to which this
point belongs, is then closed and rounded. If the path was not already
closed, the last point of the path is shifted onto the origin point.
No additional point is inserted into the path. The icon remains
selected, so that other paths can be closed and rounded. A click on
the right mouse button will return to the Select / Move Points
mode.
